Oh my gosh, this little beauty took two nights of free time to complete! It’s only 4.5 inches square, but it has 33 little pieces in it! Since it was paper pieced, I now have to go and pick out the little pieces of paper.
As I was sewing this, I kept wondering, how did Jane, the maker of the original quilt, sew something this tiny ALL BY HAND? I don’t know that I could do it and have it look very precise.
The darker fabric is a Thimbleberries fabric that I used in my Bear’s Paw quilt.
We can all quilt, but it takes a blogger to be a blogger. I would put out alot more work, like you, if I had a one way blog like yours. You are loosing your fan base with your “showoff” obsession.

I’m not sure how to take this comment. Sounds like somebody had a bad day and need some chocolate.

Caron, you little block is lovely and very well made. Well done.>If I were you I would remove the very uncalled for remark by anonymous they didn’t even have the guts to put their name to their snide remarks. They clearly don’t get that you weren’t ‘showing off’ but sharing your work with others that are very interested in seeing how you progress with this wonderful passion.>Bunny hugs Elly

The Anonymous poster can’t be a DJer, or she would understand your enthusiasm at sharing your lovely work. Back when I was still driving bus, anonymous complaints only had one place and that was the trash bin. >>A nice hot coffee and some chocolate might improve her outlook on life, and certainly doesn’t hurt ours.>>Keep up the great work Caron>Patti M, Sudbury, ON

Hi Caron. >>Your block are lovely.>>Delete the anonymous comment and set your blog to not accept anonymous comments – it is done by going into your Settings, Comments.>Unfortunately we meet these people in blogland sometimes, who have to little going on in their own lives and who are hiding behind their screens. We call people like that trolls. The blogger saying is “never feed the trolls”. She is obviously not a quilter or a DJer. Your block looks totally FABULOUS and you should be excited and proud. I always wonder how on earth Jane did it. I am a paper piecer through and through and don’t even have the first clue how to hand piece, so really wonder how she did it.

Caron — great work on the block! It’s beautiful. Too bad “anonymous” isn’t a quilter or a DJer — she/he would understand our world. I can guarantee your “fan base” isn’t going anywhere because as fans, we love your work!>Peggy>in STL

What a gorgeous block! My same block came out no where as nice as yours did. I love the fabrics you’re using too–just beautiful! >As for Anon-too bad they’re ashamed to sign their name. Beautiful Block! I love it. It looks so soft. I’ve done that one too and it was a work of art, wasn’t it?

Thanks to all for your supporting comments. I COULD delete the troll’s message, but why? I don’t want him or her to get the satisfaction of that. >>So, whoever you are, know that I feel sorry for you. I pray that you can somehow get the help you need to help you lighten up. Going through life with that kind of attitude cannot be pleasant. It’s those kinds of feelings that make people not want to be around you, and can lead to poor health (stress). God bless you as you (hopefully) work on your self-improvement. I’ll add you to my prayer list.

I can’t understand WHY annonymous is even surfing through Blogs like yours… they obviously don’t appreciate lovely work and are probably very jealous because they aren’t able to produce beautiful work as well. Besides I don’t think you need her/him in your “fan base” do you?>Lovely work Caron >cheers – Faye

Caron,>>Your block is so precisely executed. You have to be a DJer to understand the precision work that goes into these blocks. Your choice of color was perfect also. Keep up the great work and keep letting us know of your accomplishments. Those of us who are working on DJ’s wait to see all the blocks from other DJers.>>Connie in NH
