I’m enjoying the “Dear Jane” process. It’s a daily reminder that as quilters, we all have options. How big, what color, what fabrics, what thread, what technique, etc. This block, B-10 called “Jud’s Trophy” shows up with two different brown fabrics on the CD, but in the book Jane’s little block just shows one brown. On my block, left, the little beige squares are muslin in Jane’s quilt, but my background fabric is that beige, so it doesn’t pop out at you as much. For some reason, I struggled with this block, and it didn’t come together as well as I’d hoped, but I’m going to leave it “as is.”
Grandson Jacob called me last night while I was sewing. They were working on dinosaurs at his preschool, and he was telling me all about it. It was SO cute! Jake will be four this May. Kim also started her last semester at college yesterday. I don’t know how she’ll do three classes AND have a baby on Feb. 15th. Go Kim, go!
I am almost at my one month anniversary for my new job. As each day goes by, I am loving it more and more. I feel so blessed to have so many great people to work with!
