It’s been awhile since I posted something quilty. Probably because I haven’t had a chance to sew in several weeks – well, I probably COULD have sewn, but I’ve been so bummed at Millie that I haven’t wanted to go downstairs to play with her. You see, Millie messed up the back of a quilt I worked a long time on. She needs a good spanking – or at least, a tweaking of her tension. Maybe Saturday…
But I do feel good about myself. I’ve been on the treadmill every day for the last four days. That’s a GOOD thing! I’ve set a goal for myself – I want to walk in the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run on May 31. Yes, I know it says R U N but this old broad will not be running. I never could run very well, and always felt it might kill me if I did. I will be walking either a 5K or 10K, depending on how my training goes.
This is a big thing for me. I have never been athletic, and I know I won’t win the walking part of the run, but I at least want to say that I did it. So on the treadmill, I’m gradually increasing my distance each day. We’ll see. If you want to walk with me, let me know and then go register at http://www.dexterannarborrun.com/
