I need help on this beautiful block called “God’s Eye”, made by Carrie Dominguez. It’s gorgeous… but look at all the tiny pieces! How would YOU quilt this block? I want to do it justice, but with all those seams, I’m afraid the quilting will be a distraction, and I don’t want to take away from the precision done by Carrie. What do you think?
This might give you a little better perspective… See how small the blocks are next to my hand?
*If you know the name of this block, please contact Caron via email or leave a comment below. Thanks!
Hi Caron, no book here to give you a hand on the block names. Will check out tonight in Barbara Brackman's encyclopedia of pieced blocks! The God's eye is awesome and I understand your hesitation. Is it an option to stab stitch the cross itself and the squares?
It will be difficult to do, and your tiny stitch really fit's in, but you will do an amazing job!

Those blocks are wonderful! I don't know if I could quilt those teeny squares in the God's Eye…maybe just around the entire block. That's a tricky one!
